Sarah wants to share with you some of the Sunflowers she’s grown this year!

For this “Weekly Photo Challengeβ i went for the thing that popped into my head first after reading βLiquidββ¦..Itβs got to be coffee! πΒ
Sarah & i love coffee and we love trying the different tastes especially whilst on holiday! πΒ

β§ Me drinking a nice cup of coffee in Florence, Italy β§Β

β§ Sarah drinking a iced coffee in Sharkeyβs, Barbados β§Β

For this weeks Photo Challenge Unlikelyβ¦..I was going to post about how unlikely it was for me to still take photos now that iβm blindβ¦..But i thought iβd post one of my lovely Wife Sarah! πΒ
This trip was such an Unlikely blessing, as Sarah had another “Charcot Footβ and was in an air-cast for the last 5 monthsβ¦..She had it removed a few weeks ago and sheβs been strengthening her leg for this cruise. I love this photo of Sarah on the original ancient start line in Olympia, it was so unlikely to happen!Β
As a βBlind Photographerβ my sight is really blurry but i can just about frame a shot by the lines. I donβt often know what the lines of the objects are, lol. But itβs how i can get some good images now and then! πΒ

As i could get my hands on this guitarβ¦.I knew exactly what the lines were! lol.
I thought this weeks Photo ChallengeΒ was an ideal opportunity to post a photo of my Taylor K22ce acoustic guitar, which is made from the exotic tropical wood Hawaiian Koa. I just love the lines of this beautiful wood and never get bored looking at them.
The Weekly Photo Challenge this week is Favorite Place. I think itβs easy to say that the Caribbean Islands are our fave place to visit that are a long way from home. I love to see my lovely Wife Sarah relaxing, as she works so hard in super busy London and itβs great to go away and be recharged! π π΄βοΈΒ

For this weeks photo challenge βExperimentalβ, i thought iβd go back a year and a half when Sarah & i were being “Experimental” with the iPhone Panorama mode. I thought iβd try and look calm in the start of the shotβ¦.Then run around the back of Sarah to wave in the end of the shot! I managed it eventually, lol. π Β

The Ancient Olympic Games Original Stone Start Line.
This trip has been such an unexpected blessing, as Sarah had another βCharcot Footβ and was in an air-cast for the last 5 monthsβ¦..She removed the air-cast a few weeks ago and sheβs been strengthening her leg for this cruise.
I chose this photo for this weeks photo challenge: “Temporaryβ as it was a temporary moment in our lives(thankfully as it was so hot) and a special memory as we didnβt think we’d ever make it as Sarahβs foot was so bad. So seeing Sarah on the start line at the ancient Olympics was fantastic! πΒ

As iiβm registered blind, this weeks photo challenge βFocusβ is very interesting as i donβt have any focus and need to use the cameraβs autofocus!Β
I chose this photo as the lens was going crazy trying to focus on each of the birds, so in the end i pressed the shutter and got this shot!Β π€£Β

βFriendβ is this weeks photo challengeβ¦..So i thought iβd share a photo of my best friend and lovely Wife Sarahβ¦..And our(The Late) best friend Bruce THE Boxer. I love this photo of the look of complete adoration in Bruce’s eyes for Sarah! π
Wow, another “Photo Challengeβ where i could post thousands of photos! π€£Β
Here’s a few βEvanescentβ moments of my(& Sarahβs) travels.

Β On a severely rocky train journey through “St Kittsβ, i managed somehow to take this photo of one of my fave church buildings! ~ Read about our fantastic journey here!Β

Β Now a little about this birdβ¦..π€£ Taken from my older post βIn Flight”Β
“This photo brings back memories of patience for me. This is the longest i’d taken getting one shot. I spent 3 days going down to the local lake and sat patiently on a bench taking about 150 shots per day until finally got this one. I learnt that when you canβt see whatβs in your viewfinder, donβt take photos of birds! lol” πΒ

Β Sarah had just a few seconds to take this photo whilst doing a 2 day course at the “Institute of Legacy Management” building. She wanted to show me a cityscape of London as she wouldnβt get this chance again! πΒ

And of course i canβt do many photo challenges without a photo(or photos) of “Bruce THE Boxerβ. Our lovely Boxer dog which we still miss loads! But i felt this period in time(14th July 2000 – 3rd Dec 2011) felt like it only lasted a short time and would suit this challenge. πΒ

This weeks βPhoto Challengeβ left me with so many options i didnβt know where to start!Β
The photo above is one of Sarah & iβs favourites and is on our side-board. I thoughtβ¦..βHeritageβ – It has the church building which was built way before our time. βHeritageβ – The guitar iβm playing(and not worthy of holding, never mind owning) was built by a fantastic Luthier. βHeritageβ – And more important than all of this is the Holy Covenant of Marriage that glues Sarah and i together in the power of His promises!Β
I could go on & onβ¦..But iβll stop here and go and check out your posts on the challenge! πΒ
For this weeks challenge(Reflectiong), i used an old photo from our “Tuscany Tourβ(please click to begin this fantastic trip), although itβs not really about reflectingβ¦β¦I think Sarahβs smile reflects enough of how much fun we were having on this holiday! πΒ

Sorry for being away for so longβ¦..iβve missed you guys!
For this weeks “Photo Challenge“, i thought iβd look back on our horse ride across the beautiful beach of St Johnβs Antigua. As both Sarah * i are registered Blind this was a nerve-racking trip for us. It was a brave, DANGER filled trip but we stepped up to the challenge and had one of the best days of our lives! π€£Β
Click HEREΒ to read about the whole day(with more photos).

On a recent visit from Sarahβs Dad & two brothers, i was filled withΒ Admiration as i played guitar along with my brother in law Alfie. I remember when he was first learning and now heβs sic! πΒ

For this weeks Photo Challenge Theme: Dance…I couldnβt resist posting this lovely photo of Sarah dancing with a dolphin on our holiday to the Caribbean last year.
Β For this weeks photo challenge βVivid“, i decided to use a photo of lovely Ella(my friend Robβs daughter) with Vivid flowers.Β

My other “Weekly Photo Challenges“

FOR This weeks photo challenge βBROKENβ, i just had to post a few photos from my βTuscany Tourβ holiday.Β
known worldwide for its unintended tilt to one side. It is situated behind the Cathedral and is the third oldest structure in Pisa’s Cathedral Square (Piazza del Duomo) after the Cathedral and the Baptistry. The tower’s tilt began during construction, caused by an inadequate foundation on ground too soft on one side to properly support the structure’s weight. Β

Β More of my Weekly Photo ChallengesΒ

Once i found out this weekβs photo challenge was βBlurβ, i was going to try and create an image that would replicate my severely blurry sight.Β
But as i was updating my iMac software and finding out the new features in the βPhotosβ app, i found this image. Itβs of me being taken out with some blisteringly blurry swordsmanship by Vini, using the newly created balloon swords that he had just made from a Christmas cracker & balloon making kit set. π

The βEphemeral” joyΒ of pure adoration! π

As Sarah & i were walking around Hampton Court Palace gardens, i stopped to take this photo of what i call βThe pathway to paradiseβ. I could feel the warmth of spring while the βFreshβ scent of the flowersΒ ensconcedΒ us. π

“Wow! Were these doors made for theΒ Nephilim?!!” π
Here are 6 recent βAchievementsβΒ from Sarah & i for this weeksΒ π· challenge.Β
#1 RNIBβs Outlook magazine cover photo

β§ The CD version of Outlook Magazine with my cover photo β§Β
Iβve had another photo published as a cover photo on RNIBβs Outlook 29 magazine. I havnβt seen the print, large print or Braille covers, but i have the audio version.
#2 Norfolk Hideaways Photography CompetitionΒ

β§ Sunset 4 the people β§Β
Norfolk Hideaways had a photo competition for their calendar and brochure for 2015. This is the first time iβve ever entered my photos in a competition. They replied saying the wanted to use my photo (see βSunset 4 the people” above) for either the front cover of their brochure and calendar! Unfortunatley i didnβt have a high enough quality image (as it was cropped from my iPhone) to use as a cover shot, but they will publish it on their website, leaflets & inside the brochure. Thatβs still amazing to me, as i was up against fully sighted photographers, so even to consider one of my photos is unbelievible to me!! π Β
#3 My Florence, Italy Photographic Exhibition.

β§ Screenshot taken from Rebus photographyβs sidebar β§Β
Now this still blows me awayβ¦My photography exhibition in Florence, Italy. We fly out in less than 2 weeks for the opening (my first time abroad!) and to say iβm excited is an understatement! I still canβt believe that they chose little old me to exhibit in their museum! Iβll keep you updated and take lots of photos on my travels! πΒ
Β #4 IOF Certificate in Fundraising

β§ Sarah receiving her hard earned Certificate! π β§ Β Β
So proud of my lovely wife Sarah on her graduation! Despite major difficulties following her latest eye operation, she managed to earn a βdistinctionβ.Β
The graduation ceremony took place from 6-9pm on Thursday 6th November at Brunei Gallery, SOAS, London, celebrating the excellence of the class of 2013/14 from the IOF Academy.Β
#5 The cheese burger Birthday cake for Sally

β§ Our friend Sally enjoying the cake Sarah made for her! π β§ Β
Β Sarahβs been baking again!! I love her creations! πΒ
#6 The 3D Christmas treeΒ

Β β§ The Christmas tree cake 1st attempt by Sarah, fantastic!! π β§Β
Sarah also made a fantastic Christmas tree cake, i hope she shares it! πΒ

β§ Benz Badge β§ Β

β§ Bends of a Benz β§Β

β§ Nice wheels! β§Β

β§ Old racing car β§Β

β§ Old racing car 2 β§Β

β§ Sarahβs fave car!! π β§Β
This weekβs challenge is all about the Vehicle Details. This is your chance to show off those wheels, steering wheels, tail lights, headlights, motometers, hood ornaments, hoods, windows, engines, paint, etc. I want to see parts of cars and trucks. Have fun with this theme. Iβm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with.Β

I really struggled with this weeks Photo Challenge, so i thought iβd use a minimalist photo of this little gadget that completely transformed my life shortly after losing my sight. I couldnβt even make myself a warm drink without burning myself several times! So instead i just drank Vodka as it was much easier, but this really didnβt help my dark depression (see my testimony).
Then my social worker brought me round this liquid level indicator, and it changed everything! I could finally make myself a cup of tea, and was quickly making anyone who came round drinks again, what a feeling! π
Description of a liquid level indicator taken from RNIB online storeβ¦
Fill your cup with greater confidence, using RNIB’s audible and vibratory Liquid Level Indicator. Simply place it on the side of a cup and a series of audible beeps and vibrations will let you know when the liquid nears the top.
The Liquid Level Indicator will give off an intermittent beep and a series of vibrations when your cup is nearly full, followed by a faster beep and continuous vibration when it has reached its limit. There are also magnets built in, to allow easy storage on your fridge door.
The Challenge…Β “This week, publish an image of a sign β from the signs you encounter on the street to more personal, less obvious signs that hold meaning for you.”
Β On a walk in London, alongside the river Thames, Sarah & i stumbled across a surprising Sign inviting us to βWalk on the waterβ.
What nocturnal photos do you like taking? Whether itβs a starry sky, a street lamp, or the shadows cast by your cat, share them with us.Β
I didnβt think i had many to show for this challenge, but i had lots! Here are a few of my faveΒ NighttimeΒ shots! πΒ

β§ God blesses our cliff top walk at Old Hunstanton, Norfolk β§

β§ Sarah chose our fan style living room wall lights β§

β§ Moon Shadow β§
